Dynamic Page Layout - A JavaScript Solution

The screen shot on the left shows a scalable page being rendered by the Firefox 3 browser in a 200px wide window. Those with good eyesight should be able to make out the 40px heights of the flag colors which add up to 120px, and when multiplied by the flag aspect ratio of 1.67 : 1 gives a width for the flag of 200px - matching the figure shown in the status bar.

Above, the flag portion of the page when rendered at 640px screen width resolution by the Safari 3.1 browser running on the Windows platform.  The aspect ratio of the flag can clearly be seen both in the status bar and the details shown on the flag.
